Newsweek recently recognized Meyer Horn, MD of Dermatology + Aesthetics as one of America’s Best Dermatologists for 2022. Each year, the publication highlights U.S. doctors who are leading and innovating in the field of dermatology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Horn has dedicated himself to providing state-of-the-art skin care to the Chicagoland area, including focusing on inflammatory diseases of the skin, skin cancer screenings and treatment, surgical dermatology and patient education.
Prior to affiliating with VitalSkin in 2021, Dermatology + Aesthetics opened in July 2007 in Chicago. Drs. Keren and Meyer Horn, and Dr. Neha Robinson founded the practice to provide dermatologic care to their neighborhood and community. Their commitment to care led them to relocate to the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago, with an expanded practice over 19,000 sq ft in size to provide greater access for patients. Additionally, their skincare store, skin1765, grew within the new Bucktown practice. The D+A brand has since expanded to several other locations and partnered with other leading doctors in the Chicago area, including Drs. Ron Berne and Toral Patel.
Along with being a practicing dermatologist and medical director at Dermatology + Aesthetics, Dr. Horn is a clinical instructor of dermatology at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University, an affiliate in the department of dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and his medical school studies at Duke University Medical School and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His professional training includes an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago hospitals, a residency in dermatology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a clinical trials fellowship in psoriasis also at Northwestern University.
America’s Best Dermatologists 2022 was compiled by Newsweek and research firm, Statista. More than 2,200 dermatologists and skin care professionals were surveyed, with the top 275 in the 20 most populous states selected. The rankings are divided into two parts – the top 125 medical dermatologists and the top 150 cosmetic dermatologists. The evaluation process was comprised of the following three metrics: In-state recommendations, out-of-state recommendations and quality dimension.
