This past Saturday, we held our first Night at the Ballpark event at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, as the St. Louis Cardinals took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. This event was an opportunity for local dermatology residents to meet with a group of VitalSkin leaders and doctors to learn more about who we are and what we do, as well as enjoy a great night at the ballpark.
Residents from the Saint Louis University of Medicine and Washington University School of Medicine were in attendance. From VitalSkin, Drs. Jeremy Youse, Debra Babich and Joseph Duvall met with the residents to discuss their school experiences and future plans. In addition, the group of doctors shared their experience with the VitalSkin family. Also in attendance was Todd Petersen, CEO of VitalSkin.
“Dr. Babich, Dr. Duvall and I were excited to meet with this group of residents to learn more about them and their career goals. A great thing about Vitalskin is that it brings together doctors from a variety of backgrounds with a wealth of experience in different skillsets – like Mohs surgery, cosmetic services, pathology and more. At events like this where we can connect with residents, we can give our shared knowledge, advice and be a means of support. And on the other side, we’re able to learn so much about what new, soon-to-be dermatologists are focusing on and want out of their careers. It’s a great experience for everyone involved,” said Dr. Youse.
VitalSkin’s growing network is continually creating more and more career opportunities for residents – opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills while practicing alongside some of the most experienced, successful dermatologists in the country. We also understand that today’s young dermatologists want more flexibility with their careers and lifestyles. With a variety of locations in desirable metro areas, we can easily help residents practice in locations that fit their personal and professional preferences.
Established in 2019, VitalSkin was designed with dermatologists at the center – aligning with their goals, supporting their needs and creating personalized plans to help them develop their practice and provide exceptional patient care. VitalSkin is led by Petersen, Dan Wiens, chief financial officer, Jeremy Youse, MD, chief medical officer, and a full leadership team. The entire leadership team is experienced and well-versed in leading physician practice management organizations. With its flexibility and permanent capital, VitalSkin can focus on building stable, long-term partnerships with dermatologists nationwide.
In the future, we look forward to holding additional events to connect with dermatology residents. If you are interested in learning more about career opportunities at VitalSkin, please visit our careers site.
