Dr. Meyer Horn of Dermatology + Aesthetics, a VitalSkin Dermatology affiliate in the Chicago area, was recently named a top doctor for 2021 by Chicago Magazine. Each year, the publication highlights area clinicians who are advancing their fields and impacting the lives of patients.
This year’s list is the magazine’s most comprehensive ever, with 1,009 nominated doctors and specialists across Chicago’s six-county area. The list was compiled by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a healthcare research and information company that helps consumers find America’s top doctors and hospitals. Their selection process, under the direction of an MD, involves surveying thousands of physicians, academic medical centers and hospitals to determine honorees.
Throughout his career, Dr. Horn had dedicated himself to providing state-of-the-art skin care to the Chicagoland area, including focusing on inflammatory diseases of the skin, skin cancer screenings and treatment, surgical dermatology and patient education.
In 2007, Drs. Meyer Horn, Keren Horn and Neha Robinson opened Dermatology + Aesthetics in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. After building an excellent reputation and extensive referrals there and in the surrounding communities, the team expanded their number of providers and services, including relocating to a 19,000 square foot plus facility in the Elston Corridor neighborhood of Chicago. There, the team features six board-certified dermatologists, four physician assistants and nurse practitioners, one laser specialist and two aestheticians. In addition, the new location includes their skin care store, skin1765, which offers home care solutions for clients and patients. Earlier this month, the group affiliated with VitalSkin to expand their growth, recruitment and world-class care even further.
In addition to being a practicing dermatologist and medical director at Dermatology + Aesthetics, Dr. Meyer Horn is an assistant professor of clinical dermatology at the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University, an affiliate in the department of dermatology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and his medical school studies at Duke University Medical School and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. His professional training includes an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago hospitals, a residency in dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a clinical trials fellowship in psoriasis also at Northwestern University.
